FAA Approvals
Any Flight Flix mount with a FAA Approval Available rating can be installed with our pre-approved data. The approval packet contains specific installation instructions, testing procedures, and an 8110-3 document. The approval will be specific to your aircraft and mounting location. The first step is to fill out the form through the link on the bottom of the page. Only certain combinations can have FAA approvals.

Process:
• submit the initial application form below (we will contact you within 24hrs for additional information).
• Pay $499 for the approval ($899 helicopter).
• Have your IA fill out our FAA approval form. (Aircraft information & mounting location)
• 7 to 10 day waiting period for approval packet.
• Install camera mount and test per approval packet.
• IA completes logbook and 337 form. (Fly same day – No local FSDO field approval required).
Limitations:
• Limit 2 exterior camera approvals per aircraft.
• Pressurized aircraft are considered a custom approval that may add additional cost.
• Limited to fuselage, struts, and under wing installations for most aircraft.
• Approvals for others cameras and installations may be approved on a case by case basis.

Bogey pod for Bogey camera.
Bases
Strut / Skid base with cushioned steel strap.
Surface base for inspection covers and wing tips.
